Mackey House Charm – Gabriella & Adam

Gabriella and Adam’s elegant vow renewal ceremony at The Mackey House was a pure delight to photograph. Surrounded by family, friends and their two young daughters, they were finally able to affirm their love for another the way they’d always wanted to. Mother Nature didn’t quite cooperate, however, with a venue like The Mackey House, rain showers aren’t a problem when it comes to photo opportunities. The interior of the venue is beautiful and offers a number of gorgeous locations so we had no problem finding the perfect backdrop for a romantic First Look, family photos and couples portraits. Luckily, the rain cleared just in time for the reception to begin on the back deck. Gabriella and Adam danced the night away with their loved ones under the stars before sharing an epic kiss under a canopy of sparklers. Congratulations you two! We’re honored to have been a part of your wedding day!

Fiery Fall Skies – Alli & Holt

Savannah offers endless gorgeous wedding venues, but there’s just something so special about riverfront weddings at The Westin. Alli & Holt said “I do” on a cool October evening beneath a dreamy white floral draped gazebo overlooking the Savannah River. This sweet couple was surrounded by family and friends from all over the country and they had a special surprise in store for those that couldn’t attend due to COVID-19. We worked with Alli & Holt to ensure all of their loved ones would be able to experience their ceremony in real-time no matter their location with our Wedding Live Stream service. Virtual wedding guests were able to enjoy every moment of their nuptials, while leaving sweet comments and well wishes as they watched. As the ceremony drew to a close and the sun began to set, a wedding photographer’s dream backdrop appeared overhead just in time for couples portraits. The sky was set ablaze with vibrant fall oranges, yellows and reds so bright that the river glowed as well. We quickly made our way down to the dock and captured some stunning portraits that I hope Alli & Holt will enjoy for a lifetime.

Love at Forrest Pond Lodge – Oriana & Abe

We’re always excited to photograph weddings at scenic new venues and Oriana & Abe’s big day provided us with just that opportunity at Forrest Pond Lodge. I believe a site visit is a must whenever we’re going to shoot at a location that’s new to us. One sunny summer morning I took a short drive down to Ludowici to explore and get a tour of the property with owner Patty Wright. As I approached and made my way down a quaint tree lined gravel drive, I came upon picturesque lakes and open fields surrounding two beautifully crafted log cabin lodges. As Patty and I started our tour of the property all I could think was “This place is amazing! How have I never shot here before?” Everywhere I looked was an idyllic backdrop for photos and my wedding photographer brain went into overdrive taking notes and getting ideas for all the shots I wanted to capture. After a slight delay (due to COVID-19), the day arrived and we had so much fun working with Oriana, Abe and their loved ones. Abe is hands down our Groom MVP of 2020 as he coordinated most of the wedding planning due to Oriana’s hectic school schedule. He was “hands on” with every little detail of the day and we were so impressed with his skills and style! After a sweet lakeside ceremony we were able to capture the most gorgeous couples portraits as the sun began to set. The evening continued on with dinner in the main lodge followed by drinks and dancing outside under the stars and ethereal white twinkle lights. Congratulations Oriana & Abe! We had a great time working with you two!

Sweet Vows in Charlotte – Sara & John Paul

The events of 2020 certainly altered the wedding plans of many couples across the globe. Sara and John Paul faced the tough decision of either rescheduling or reimagining their wedding day as a result of COVID 19. With a few adjustments and the help of technology we were able to accommodate their needs in fun new ways. Sara’s primary concern was that her family members living in Canada weren’t able to attend due to travel restrictions. After consulting with the couple about this, we got to work creating a plan to Live Stream their ceremony in real time. After some research, cool new equipment and a few test streams – we were ready to broadcast Sara & John Paul’s vows live on a private Facebook page. All of Sara’s family in Canada were able to simply click a link and attend the wedding in real time. They could see and hear everything as if they were there in person and they left the sweetest comments and well wishes for the couple as they watched. Congratulations Sara & John Paul! We’re honored to have been part of your day.

Christmas Glamour – Kelsey & Chris

When Kelsey and I met for coffee to chat about her wedding photography vision, she was still newly engaged. Although she was in the early planning stages, there were some specific details that really made me excited for her vision. She painted a scene of deep winter colors, centerpieces made of books, candle light and a full on Christmas Tree! Fast forward 10 months and it was amazing to see her gorgeous winter wedding come to life at The Tybee Wedding Chapel. The smile on Chris’ face was ear-to-ear when he turned around and saw his gorgeous bride during their First Look. Kelsey’s “Old Hollywood Glamour” wedding day style was absolutely stunning and she looked as though she’d just stepped off a 1940’s movie set. High Fives to the hair and makeup team at Southern Belle by Maria Noelle and many thanks to Kelsey & Chris for allowing us to capture every sweet memory of your wedding day!

Red Gate Farms Romance – Rachel & Connor

Some couples simply emanate joy and fun from the moment you meet them – Rachel and Connor are one of those special couples. Working with them on their August wedding at Red Gate Farms was an absolute blast! This awesome couple met as freshmen SCAD students and even though they now live on the other side of the country, they knew they wanted to come back to Savannah to tie the knot. We worked virtually with Rachel and Connor to design a custom wedding photography and videography package that suit all the needs of their big day. With our team of two photographers and videographer, they had every sweet detail captured from wedding morning prep to their sparkler reception exit. Videographer Zach produced an epic Wedding Highlight film for the couple which even included beautiful drone footage of the venue. Additionally, Rachel and Connor also opted for full video coverage of their ceremony from start to finish. Following the sweetest lakefront vows, we got to work capturing dreamy moss draped couples portraits before heading over to The Grainery for toasts, dinner and dancing!

Hilton Head Romance – Kayla & David

With a love of all things golf and Hilton Head, it’s only natural that Kayla & David chose to host their destination wedding at The Sea Pines Resort. When Kayla and I discussed the details of their day I was so excited to hear they were going to say their vows underneath the majestic Liberty Oak at Harbor Town. My wedding photographer brain immediately started planning out shots as I pictured beams of sunlight streaming through the moss as Kayla and David said “I do”. The day turned out to be even more beautiful than I had imagined and it was so much fun to work with such a sweet, relaxed couple. From dancing on cue underneath the Liberty Oak to strolling along the pier – this couple was up for anything and we were able to capture such sweet memories of their day!

Modern Elegance – Alex & Dillon

Alex & Dillon’s love story began in Savannah years ago, and after moving away to begin their careers, they knew they had to return with their friends and family to celebrate their wedding. Fun, laid back and fashion forward are the words best used to describe this amazing couple. Alex works in the fashion industry, so it’s no surprise that the dress she chose was absolutely stunning! Hand made in Israel, her fitted gown adorned with ornate lace and button detail left the every guest in awe! A gorgeous Forsyth Park ceremony was followed by dinner & dancing at Vic’s On The River where guests enjoyed some of Savannah’s finest southern fare complete with a riverfront sunset.

Classic Savannah Style – Megan & Benjamin

Megan & Benjamin’s classic Savannah wedding was an absolute dream to shoot. Beautiful flowers, a champagne cart and string quartet greeted guests as they arrived in Lafayette Square for what would be a night to remember. Savannah Dan officiated a lovely ceremony which was followed by dinner and dancing in the ballroom of The Olde Pink House. Our favorite moment of the entire event came towards the end of the evening when In lieu of the traditional cake cutting, Megan & Benjamin opted for a whimsical (and delicious) custom ice cream cart provided by Leopold’s Ice Cream!

Valentine’s Vows at Forsyth Park – Maria & Pedro

I can only hope to be half as cool as Maria and Pedro when I grow up. On a beautiful fall weekend this sweet couple hopped on their Harley and drove up to Savannah from Miami for a little getaway and to chat all things wedding photography with me. When I meet with couples having destination weddings in Savannah, I’m always curious as to why they chose our city. Maria and Pedro gushed about Savannah’s beauty, iconic southern charm and artsy vibe. Most notably, Maria said the first time she saw the Forsyth Park Fountain she knew that was exactly where she’d like to say “I do” to Pedro. Just a few months later on Valentine’s weekend, her sweet vision came to life. Maria and Pedro were surrounded by the love of their children, grandchildren and an intimate group of long time friends as they officially became husband and wife. Photographing weddings at the Forsyth Park Fountain never gets old. There’s something so magical about a bride walking towards her groom surrounded by moss draped oaks and dreamy light with that gorgeous fountain in the background. Congratulations Maria & Pedro! We’re honored to have been part of your day!
